There’s something I love most about the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.
It’s amazing to look back and see all that God has done. In the moment, there are so many things we don’t understand. Sometimes we’re just trying to get by, trying not to fall apart in the midst of chaos. But God uses even those things to draw us closer to Him, and to touch the people around us.
I’ve been so in awe of how God uses our human weakness to display His strength. Even as we live out our ordinary lives for our extraordinary God, He uses us to reflect His glory. It’s humbling to realize, once we make that daily commitment to follow hard after Jesus, He uses us in ways we could never have imagined.
Granted, the transition between chapters tends to feel stagnant. It’s like waiting for the next book in a series to come out: we’ve still got one foot in the old story, but we desperately desire to cross the threshold of the next. Yet this in-between period is also the opportunity for growth. As we thank God for the past, we also trust Him with the future, actively seeking to find outlets to share the hope He has given us.
In every season, in big and little ways, God is alive in us. Let us praise Him!
